Saving Lives or Ending Them?

In the news I have been hearing a lot about drones lately. it seems that a many of different companies are spending lots money trying to develop these flying machines. Meaning more advanced surveillance devices. However, recently a law was passed giving the United States government permission to use drones for observing or killing US citizens considered a threat to the country. Does that really sound like a good idea? should machines be used to kill Americans without a trial or jury?

I personally do not agree with the drones being allowed to kill people on American soil without a trial. I do not necessarily believe that the court systems are always just, but I do believe that anyone and everyone deserves a (hopefully) fair trial. Once it has been decided whether or not someone is guilty of the crimes they are being tried for, it should then be decided what the proper sentence should be. No one should be able to say, “This person is a threat so were going to kill them.”
