A New Law on School Fitness Data Faces Obstacles

So there has been a bill passed this year and the law allows for better studies and fitness requirements. It will give researchers the ability to grab individual data from each student to determine their psychical performance, academic performance and gang activity, as well as how many times they have been absent. I find it interesting how there is something being done over all these years. I wonder why it took them so long to finally act. Overall the new laws effects may be limited though. To help ease the pain of state financing for public education, and attempt to reduce state mandates at the district level. Lawmakers dont require school districts to collect and report the data on a significant number of students. So we will see what happens.

That is a great initiative! Being a mother of a future student, I would really like this kind of measure to be adopted. It would certainly be expensive, but show me the parent who does not want to see his/her son or daughter in good health, being successful at school and just happy? :-)))
